Virginia QSO Party 2022

Our local Chattanooga club, the Tennessee Valley DX Association, made the annual trek from Chattanooga to Wythe County, Virginia. We operated from a hunting lodge near Speedwell.

Our low power setup consisted of 3 stations: 2 Flex 6600M’s and an Elecraft K3S. Antennas were all wires in the trees: 2 40M EDZ’z and a G5RV. A 160m inverted-L with one elevated radial was used on that band. Conditions were only so-so. Activity was good at times but we filled in the slow periods by watching the men’s NCAA basketball tournament on satellite TV. As always, we had a lot of fun and ate very well! Thanks for all the QSOs, we appreciate every one of them.
